Police have arrested three men on suspicion of attempted murder and another for affray after a stabbing on Westminster Bridge
Hundreds of police have flooded Westminster and Westminster Bridge is closed in both directions after a man was stabbed with four arrested for attempted murder.
The force was called to the scene at about 10.43am to reports of a fight and found a man with a stab injury, who was taken to hospital in critical condition.
Three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and another has been arrested on suspicion of affray. Two of those arrested were taken to hospital with minor facial injuries, the Met said.
It is understood the incident is not being treated as terror-related

Man suffered cardiac arrest and was not stabbed
The Metropolitan Police have announced that the man initially believed to have been stabbed on Westminster Bridge this morning suffered a cardiac arrest.
A statement said: “Initial reports suggested the man had been stabbed, but further enquiries have confirmed this is not the case. Investigations are ongoing to determine how he came to suffer a cardiac arrest.
“The man remains in hospital in a critical condition.”
The statement reiterated that three people have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, with two of these being taken to hospital for head injuries.
No further information was given regarding the circumstances of the incident which is believed to have been a fight amongst several people.
Road remains closed
The bridge remains closed as police continue to investigate this morning’s events.
Several diversions are in place and the 11, 12, 148, 159 and 453 bus services were all being diverted.

London Ambulance Service statement
Speaking to Express.co.uk the London Ambulance Service confirmed they deployed a number of resources to the scene including an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
A London London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (Sunday) at 10.46am to reports of an incident on Westminster Bridge, SW1.
“We sent a number of resources including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.
“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to hospital.”
Inquiries ongoing
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Buses including 11, 12, 148, 159, and 453 are on diversion.

The road remains closed as police investigate.
