by a week. The crew of Hell’s Angels demonstrated extraordinary courage, braving enemy fighters and flak on every mission. Instead of returning to the U.S. after 25 missions, the aircraft continued flying in combat, completing an incredible 48 missions before being reassigned for non-combat roles.
